In the dynamic and competitive realm of vaibe, ties can add an extra layer of excitement and challenge. To maintain fairness and determine a definitive winner on the Leaderboard, vaibe has established a set of comprehensive tie-breaker rules. Let's explore these rules and understand the criteria that come into play when a tie needs to be resolved.

Tie-Breaker Criteria

1) Games played

Metric: The total number of games played, encompassing both collective and individual challenges.

Outcome: The worker with the lowest number of games played emerges as the victor in this tie-breaker. This criterion emphasizes efficiency and consistency, recognizing those who achieve success with precision.

2) Winning score

Metric: The combined number of wins in individual games and first-place finishes in collective games.

Outcome: Excellence is celebrated in this tie-breaker as the worker with the most wins in individual challenges and the highest number of first-place finishes in collective challenges claims victory. This rule acknowledges overall proficiency and consistent top-tier performance.

3) Second place

Metric: The number of second-place finishes in collective groups.

Outcome: When the need arises for this tie-breaker, the worker with the highest number of second-place finishes in collective groups takes the lead. This criterion emphasizes not only victories but also consistent top-tier performances.

4) Third place

Metric: The number of third-place finishes in collective groups.

Outcome: Should a tie persist, the worker with the most third-place finishes in collective groups emerges as the winner. This rule recognizes and rewards those who consistently contribute to their team's success.

5) Login into application

Metric: The most recent login into the application, considering date, hour, and minute.

Outcome: When all else fails to break the tie, the worker who most recently logged into the application is declared the winner. This criterion encourages real-time engagement and rewards active participation.

How the tie-breakers work

  1. Sequential application: The tie-breakers are applied sequentially in the order listed. If a tie persists after the first criterion, subsequent criteria are invoked until a clear winner emerges.

  2. Balanced evaluation: The combination of metrics ensures a balanced and fair evaluation, considering both individual and collective performances.

  3. Real-time engagement: The inclusion of the login metric adds a real-time engagement element, encouraging participants to stay active within the Vaibe application.

By adhering to these tie-breaker rules, vaibe guarantees a fair and exciting experience on the Leaderboard. Whether you're a worker or a manager, these criteria ensure that ties are resolved with transparency and that true winners emerge.
